A Canadian woman was caught trying to smuggle 2kg of cocaine in her fake pregnant belly at Bogota’s Int’l Airport in Colombia. It would have been a perfect stunt if there were no pat-down search at the gate. However, an officer found her pregnant belly was unusually hard and cold during the pat down, so they pulled her out from the line to search further.

The woman, Tabitha Leah Ritchie, was a 28-year-old Ontario social worker. Ritchie was on her way to board a plane heading to Toronto, Canada with her belly full of cocaine.

The deputy director of Colombia’s antinarcotic police department Colonel Esteban Arias said, “The way she operated was to fool law enforcement checks by faking a pregnancy,” and noted that the drug smugglers have been getting pretty creative with where they hide their drugs.

In Tabitha Leah Ritchie’s fake pregnant belly, 2kg of cocaine was stashed inside of pocket and the fake belly was taped to her torso.
