Since the identities of the actresses in questioning are withheld to protect the individuals’ rights, some of actresses who had nothing to do with the case suffered from wrongly accused by people online. Actress Da-hae Lee’s rep said in the official statement today that the agency has filed a law suit on 13th against a person responsible for spreading a rumor that Lee was one of the actresses who prostituted with wealthy businessmen. Lee’s legal team will seek punishment and closure of the rumor to compensate for tarnished Lee’s honor and monetary damages it brought to the actresses.
Lee’s legal team announced, “It was unfortunate that Lee was mentioned relating to the recent actresses prostitution case and we are trying to prevent the false rumors spreading further. We will seek legal justice against the person who has started the rumor with malicious intent.
Because she was a celebrity, she had to suffer vicious rumors and had to tolerate personal attacks but recently the severity of the attack has increased.”
The team added, “If anyone who is not aware of the seriousness of false rumors and attacks and continuously distribute unauthorized contents should soon learn to stop. These could accidentally include you as subject of punishment.”
