The 2014 Incheon Asian Games torch was lit Saturday in New Delhi where the first Asian Games was held in 1951.

The flame was flown to Yantai, east China’s Shandong Province, Sunday, before being moved by boat to Incheon, a South Korean city where the Games will be held from Sept. 19 through Oct. 4, the organizing committee said.

Another torch will be ignited on Wednesday on top of Mt. Mani on Ganghwa Island in South Korea for a reunion with the flame lit in India, it said.

The unified flame, dubbed "the flame of the future," will tour across host South Korea beginning Thursday, and then burn for the duration of the Games at the main stadium in Incheon, west of Seoul.
