Apple to launch mobile payment service Apple Pay

Apple Inc. will launch a mobile payment service, dubbed Apple Pay, Oct. 20 (local time), the company's chief executive Tim Cook said during an event at the Apple campus in Cupertino, California, Thursday (local time). Cook said the tech giant company has built partnership with 500 more local banks. Apple Pay enables iPhone users to pay in stores by holding their phones up to checkout readers.
