The mega-hit fantasy drama "My Love from the Star" and Shin Ramyeon (Shin Ramyun) instant noodles have been selected by Chinese as South Korean "myeongpum," meaning luxury goods in Korean, along with others, the Korea Marketing Association said Thursday.
The selections were made based on an online survey of 10,766 Chinese, which was jointly conducted by the association and the website of China's state-run newspaper People’s Daily between July 30 and Sept. 30.
Other South Korean myeongpum chosen included Lotte Duty Free Shop; the southern resort island of Jeju; Hite Jinro distilled liquor; Hite beer; Orion Choco pie; Cuckoo rice cooker; Samsung Galaxy smartphone, LG Whisen air conditioner; Hyundai Elantra sedan, K-pop boy band EXO; Cafe Bene coffee chain; and Lotte Department Store, the survey said.
