Yang Hyun-suk, head of the YG Entertainment agency, has taken the No. 1 spot again as South Korea's wealthiest celebrity stockholder, beating SM Entertainment chief Lee Soo-man, a corporate research institute said Thursday.

Yang's stake in his company was valued at 185.77 billion won (approximately $170.7 million) as of the end of 2014, according to chaebul.com.

It said that Yang edged out Lee as the latter's stock value has plunged 22.1 percent or 42.39 billion won to 149.34 billion won over the past year on the KOSDAQ bourse.

The fall in SM Entertainment stocks came after Jessica Jung of Girls' Generation and EXO's Luhan left SM in September and October, respectively.

On the other hand, shares of YG Entertainment which manages K-pop stars Psy and Big Bang gained 13.6 percent during the same period.

Actor Bae Yong-joon, the largest shareholder of Keyeast, ranked third with his stocks worth 54.9 billion won, followed by JYP Entertainment CEO Park Jin-young (23.3 billion won).
