New brand of soju with low alcohol content popular among young women

Lotte Chilsung Beverage Tuesday held an event to celebrate an occasion that sales of its new Sunhari Cheoum Cheorum brand of soju having low alcohol content have surpassed the 10 million mark. The event was held at Cheonggye Square in Jongno-gu, central Seoul. The Sunhari Cheoum Cheorum, a distilled rice-based liquor with 14 percent alcohol content, is popular among young women, said Lotte Chilsung, Lotte Group’s liquor-maker. Lotte Chilsung launched the Sunhari Cheoum Cheorum with the flavor of citron to meet changing consumer tastes, company officials said.
