Ferrari is a symbol. Most people recognize the company’s exotic cars as two-seated, rear wheel driven, sleek, fast sports cars with the engine installed in the rear parts of the vehicle. But the super car company’s new model, “GT4Lusso”, is a bit different. It’s a hatchback for a start, and it has four doors.

GT4Lusso packs the same heart as Maranello: 6-2 liter V12 engine with 680 horsepower, on 8,000 rpm, it shoots to zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.4 seconds. It also features all-wheel drive (AWD) FF. The GT4Lusso’s control system is 4RM-S, which delivers four wheel drive and four wheel steering (4WS).

This hot-hatch is unique since this is the first time for Ferrari to install AWD and 4WS packed into a same car. 4WS was originally fitted into Honda’s Prelude Si 4WS. This tech allows the front and rear set of wheels turn in opposite direction when driving at low speeds to provide better turning ability, tightening the turning radius. At high speeds, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front wheels improving stability. With 4WS and AWD, GT4Lusso provides great stability over all road conditions.

Ferrari has not yet revealed pricing for this lovely hot-hatch, but the price is expected to start from US$ 300,000. Many experts see the car would fit great for a family with kids and also, for anyone would like to experience top tech rumbling with a massive engine to experience awesome power. (for the affordable, of course.)
