Girls’ Day member Hyeri, who had been hospitalized on Sunday after suffering from a fever and a severe headache, is to stay in the hospital for a few more days to recuperate.

Various medias reported that the singer-actress will be discharged from the hospital on March 10, but Hyeri decided to stay to receive further treatment. Dream T Entertainment, Girls’ Day’s agency told the media Thursday that she is to stay until completely healed.

The agency’s official said, “Her health condition is stabilized and the medical team is looking into her progress.” It is also stated that the singer may not resume her activities straight after her discharge from hospital as it is considered that she needs some more time to rest.

After her appearance in a hit drama “Reply 1988”, Hyeri was constantly under schedule taking interviews and appearing in talk-concerts. Her agency speculated that Hyeri’s health conditions failed because of her busy schedules.

Meningitis is an inflammation of the protective membranes covering the brain and spinal cord. Its common symptoms are fever and headache. Other symptoms include vomiting, confusion, or a rash. Because meningitis causes inflammation in nerve systems, if untreated, the results could be fatal.
