Xiaomi, China's tech giant is famous for its wide variety of products. It ranges from smartphones to electric bicycles and the company is adding a lineup of drones to its products.

Earlier this week, the Chinese tech giant released a teaser image on Weibo, a Chinese counterpart to Facebook, showing a partial image of the company's new drone and a release date which is May 25. According to the rumors, the drone will feature 4K video recording. Plus, many experts speculated that the company is targeting high-end segment of the drone market, possibly stepping up to drone manufacturers such as DJI.

Xiaomi has not yet revealed any other information on the drone but its teaser image, and the consumers' attention is focused on how much the drone would cost. Some rumors say the drone will be priced around 3,999 Chinese Yuan (approximately 610 US dollars), which is relatively cheap.

Considering that the current market leader in mass-produced high-end drone market, DJI's drones are priced from 499 dollars (Phantom 3 Standard – basic model) to 999 dollars (Phantom 3 professional) and its latest model, "Phantom 4" is priced at 1,300 dollars, Xiaomi will have its advantages in the market.
