CL, a member of South Korea's popular girl group 2NE1, will make her official debut in the United States this week with her first single "Lifted", her management agency said Wednesday.
CL has been the magnetic rapper-singer of one of K-pop's most obsessed-over girl groups. Her US debut on Friday has been arranged by Scott Samuel "Scooter" Braun, an American talent manager and businessman, YG Entertainment said.
2NE1 has continued on their works as a three-member group since Minzy quit in April.
However, CL has kick-started her career alone in the United States, gaining fame by appearing in various media. Separately in Seoul, she released her singles "Doctor Pepper" (with Riff Raff and Diplo) and "Hello Bitches".
