Boriam is a Buddhist temple which sits at the summit of Mt.Geumsan located at Namhae, some 320 kilometers (198 miles) southeast of Seoul. The temple is well known as one of South Koreans' favorite Buddhist temples.
The temple provides beautiful scenery of the southern sea to its visitors. Boriam is also famous as it is told in the fables as a wish-granting temple. Thousands of Buddhists and tourists climb the rocky cliffs of Mt. Geumsan to make prayer wishing their good luck and health.
