A stone monument was unveiled Monday on the roof of a South Korean government complex to celebrate the entry of its garden into the Guinness Book of World Records.
The rooftop garden is connected with bridges over 15 buildings at the complex in Sejong 120 kilometers (74 miles) south of Seoul. It has been recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's largest rooftop garden.
In a ceremony Monday, a stone monument inscribed with a phrase reading in Korean "The world's largest rooftop garden" was placed on top of a main building at the complex, government officials said.
The garden stretching some 3.6 kilometers has 1.17 million kinds of plants.
