As Samsung exposed its deeply hidden secrets about exploding Galaxy Note 7s, fanboys urged the world's largest smartphone maker to put top priority on strengthening quality control without releasing a next model for a while.

Samsung ambitiously unleashed Note 7 in September last year but unexpected cases of the tech-filled flagship exploding compelled it to stop sales and recall.

At a news conference Monday, Samsung' Mobile Communication Division head Koh Dong-jin admitted that Note 7's problem was at its batteries manufactured by Samsung SDI and China's ATL. The company promised to take full responsibility for the mayhem.

Samsung will not launch its new flagship, Galaxy S8 at the 2017 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona in February, Koh said, adding the delay is inevitable to ensure S8 will not experience similar problems.

Samsung fanboys supported the delay, suggesting a thorough and flawless quality control (QC) is the only way to make S8 a best seller.

"The problem Samsung experienced with Note 7 was avoidable. It's the result of slack QC. If S8 reports a similar problem, Samsung will be done forever," said "Frozenmorning", a user from South Korea's online IT community Clien.

Another user, "Hongkongduck" who claimed to be an engineer in a QC line for an electric company, said, "This is the result of a loose operation. Samsung could have done better by carrying out a thorough check."

There were voices filled with hope, expecting Samsung to definitely take great care of its next model. "If S8 explodes again, Samsung would have to close down its mobile communications division. It would throw everything to make S8 the best smartphone ever released," said "Equalizer".

Although Samsung did not say much about the upcoming phone, there has been speculation that it would feature top-of-the-line technology such as an iris scanner, improved water resisting ability, a larger display and an on-screen fingerprint scanner. Some experts predict the new flagship will be released in March.
