The jailed crony of President Park Geun-hye went into sudden hysterics before being questioned Wednesday, ranting and raving about what she called an "undemocratic" investigation by special prosecutors.

Choi Soon-sil, 61, started yelling "This is not fair!" as security guards escorted her to the office of special prosecutors in southern Seoul for questioning.

With her hands shackled, she kept shouting during her brief walk from a patrol vehicle to an elevator, watched by dozens of journalists.

"This is no longer democratic," she said, arguing loudly and hysterically that she was forced to confess that she had colluded with Park. She also blasted investigators for trying to "ruin the life" of her one-year-old grandson.

Choi's 21-year-old daughter, Chung Yoo-ra, has been kept at a Danish detention house since she was arrested in early January for illegal stay. Chung and her baby had stayed in Germany, resisting pressure to be interrogated at home.

Park and Choi are on trial at the constitutional court after the disgraced president was impeached in parliament. Choi has been charged with meddling in state affairs and pocketing corporate money from Samsung and other conglomerates.

Samsung is accused of bankrolling the equestrian training of Choi's daughter.
