Boy group BTS' new track 'Spring Day' hits 10 million YouTube views

Boy group BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, has become the center of a global syndrome. The seven-member group's new music video for "Spring Day" has scored more than 11.7 million views in less than two days from its release.

The boys broke a record for the fastest time taken by any South Korean artists to break 10 million hits on YouTube on Tuesday. The previous record holder was TWICE, which scored 10 million YouTube hits in 40 hours with "TT" last year.

BTS' previous 10 million breaker was "Blood, Sweat, & Tears" released in October last year that recorded 10 million hits in 41 hours.

BTS enjoys high popularity with "Spring Day" at home and abroad. In less than 10 hours of its release, the new song topped all major South Korean music charts and entering the top 10 in the United States iTunes Music Chart.

"You Never Walk Alone", an album which contains the song "Spring Day", is also a success, topping the iTunes album charts in 13 countries including Sweden, Taiwan and Vietnam. The music video has also garnered 11,749,257 views and 952,189 comments as of 09:10 am (0010 GMT).
