SKC Haas, a joint venture of SKC and Dow Chemical, became a full subsidiary of South Korea's SK Group after the US company sold off a 51-percent stake.
With the deal worth about 81.7 billion won (72 million US dollars), SKC, a key SK Group subsidiary, now holds 100 percent of SKC Haas which produces high-performance films and other materials such as video and audio tapes, CD, DVD, Lithium-ion batteries. Last year, it posted a net profit of 13.1 billion won on sales of 278 billion won.
