Girl group EXID will come back with a new album and a title song, self-produced by its member LE. However, the group will be active as a four-member group, leaving its ailing main vocal Solji out from promotions.

EXID's agency, Banana Culture, confirmed the group's comeback on April 10 and said the new album was co-produced by LE and Shinsadong Tiger, an iconic music producer. Solji will not join because she has been suffering from hyperthyroidism since December last year.

This would be EXID's first comeback in three months. After releasing a digital single "Cream" in December last year, the girls ambitiously made their official debut in China, but the timing was not good as Beijing imposed a ban on Hallyu (Korean cultural wave) contents in retaliation for the deployment of a US missile shield in South Korea.

The Chinese version of EXID's hit song "Up Down" was listed in the top ten of Chinese music charts on its debut day on January 10, but all of a sudden, the music video was stripped down only hours after it was released.

The video was filmed on movie sets copying Chinese historical sites such as ancient palaces, sparking online criticism from Chinese users who thought the video showed actual scenes. They accused the group of defiling China's historical heritage.
