Singer IU has released a special studio recording version video clip for her song" Dear Name", which is rumored to be a tribute to the victims of South Korea's Sewol ferry disaster three years ago because of its lyrics.
The 23-year-old made no comment on the track from her fourth official album released last Friday. The video clip full of emotion was uploaded onto YouTube Wednesday and garnered about 400,000 views in less than 24 hours of its release.
The Sewol ferry sank in April 2014 off the southern island of Jindo with the loss of more than 300 lives, most of them high school students. Many artists such as pop-opera singer Lim Hyung-joo have tributed their work to the victims of the disaster.
