Naver has added South Korea, including the southern resort island of Jeju, to its artificial intelligence-based search which has been used to get traveling information on foreign destinations.

"We expect the service to be useful for domestic tourists during the golden holidays next week," said an official at Naver, South Korea's largest portal service provider. "We will continue improving our artificial intelligence technology to provide better tourist information."

Naver's AI-based technology, "ConA", was launched in January, to provide optimized traveling information after recognizing contexts in search keywords. If a user searches for a keyword, "Singapore" and "restaurant", ConA analyzes and provide information on famous restaurants and how to get there.

Naver said it would improve ConA to detect whereabouts of the users and automatically provide useful information. A tourist to Jeju would be given information such as "places to go" when the island is windy and rainy.
