Actor Kim Woo-bin is receiving drug and radiation treatment of Nasopharyngeal cancer, but he will be able to recover thanks to its early discovery, his management agency, Sidus HQ, said.
The rare form of cancer occurs in the upper part of the pharynx behind the nose and above the back of the throat. The 27-year-old has recently completed a tour of Macao, Japan, Taiwan and Thailand.
He gained popularity for his appearance in South Korean TV drama "Uncontrollably Fond" and action film "Master".
