An AirAsia X pilot was hailed as a hero after safely landing the plane heading to Malaysia from Perth, Australia on Sunday.

The passengers said they heard "a loud bang" after an hour into the departure. Then the Airbus aircraft started shaking violently and the pilot turned the flight around to head back to Perth Airport.

Many passengers expressed they feared for their lives. Also, a passenger said the pilot asked the passengers to pray.

Fortunately, the plane landed smoothly after the scariest 2 hours. Once landed, the passengers applauded and the pilot shook hands with everyone who was on board.
