Girl group Apink went ahead with a showcase concert for the group's comeback mini-album "Pink Up" amid tight police security prompted by a threat to kill the girls with a bomb.
The showcase proceeded after security guards and police officers were deployed in and outside a music concert hall following a search by a police bomb squad and sniffer dogs, according to the group's agency, Plan A Entertainment.
The bomb threat was found to be a hoax but an agency official said security was tightened to protect the girls who have been plagued by a death threat from an unidentified man and malicious online comments. A police investigation launched on June 15 has failed to yield any results.
