Sharing economy is on the rise and now there is a duo, Iris Brilliant and Lisa Gray-Garcia, that is trying to start a new sharing are trying to start a new sharing movement in San Francisco Bay Area, California.

Iris Brilliant is a daughter of a distinguished physician. The 29-year-old grew up with the privileges, safety, and comfort came from an affluent Marin County family. However, Brilliant started to be drawn to the broken dynamic and issues from the current socioeconomic reality. She joined a national nonprofit organization, Resource Generation, to take a step further to transform the society to "redistribute" the wealth, land, and power.

Lisa Gray-Garcia was born into the street life. She had a single mother who she had to take care of since she was 11 years old. She experienced the life of destitute firsthand. She then published her memoir, Criminal of Poverty: Growing up Homeless in America. She started POOR Magazine, a poor-people-led nonprofit arts organization in Oakland, with her mother who passed away in 2006.

This two unlikely duo joined hands through the POOR Magazine's mentor program with one goal in mind: bringing awareness to Marin County and the world of the brokenness of current social and economic structure.

They started touring in Belvedere, a city in Marin County, where millionaires and billionaires live and wealth is condensed, with "groups of black, brown, indigenous, and disabled people". In an interview with Marin Independent Journal, Brilliant said, "These tours take a strong emotional toll on poor folks and people of color. It can be traumatizing for them to enter into a white, wealthy neighborhood."

The Belvedere residents have not been resisting to these tours that have been taking place for about a year and Brilliant is hopeful.

Marin County is one of the wealthiest counties in California and United States combined. The city of Belvedere is home to many wealthy families.
