Girl group MAMAMOO has swept to the top place in Billboard's World Albums Chart for the week of July 15, heading off other prominent K-pop artists such as G-DRAGON and BLACKPINK.
Billboard famous for its prestigious music charts placed the four-member group's mini-album "Purple" in the first place of the Albums Chart on Wednesday. The girls were spotlighted in the international K-pop scene before but this is the first time they have grabbed the Billboard chart crown.
MAMAMOO, which successfully made its comeback on June 22, has scored an all-kill with the title track, "Yes I Am", in South Korea's major online music services.
