Many dogs get abandoned daily but a little Chihuahua puppy named Chewy found in a Las Vegas airport came with a different story.

A woman who was just trying to use a restroom in the Las Vegas airport was surprised to find a tiny injured puppy with a note attached to him.

The note said, "Hi! I'm Chewy! My owner was in an abusive relationship and couldn't afford me to get on the flight. She didn't want to leave me with all her heart, but she has NO other option. My ex-boyfriend kicked my dog when we were fighting and he has a big knot on his head. He probably needs a vet. I love Chewy sooo much. Please love and take care of him."

After reading the note, the good Samaritan bought Chewy to Connor and Millie's Dog Rescue near the airport. The nonprofit organization focuses on helping senior pets and pets with special needs to find their happily ever after.

When the rescue president, Linda Gilliam, learned the sad story behind the unwanted separation, she paired Chewy with a foster parent quickly and asked the foster to visit ER immediately.

Chewy is recovering well and is looking for his forever home where he will be loved again. Chewy's former mom who suffered abuse from her ex-boyfriends did not come forward, but Connor and Millie's Dog Rescue (CMDR) founder wishes all the best for her. Gilliam hopes that after Chewy's story gets spread on social media and news outlet, Chewy's former mom can start a new life in peace knowing that her beloved Chihuahua is in good hands.
