JYP Entertainment, One of South Korea's top entertainment giants, announced its zero-tolerance policy against illegally sold tickets. The company has canceled about 120 tickets for boy band DAY6's concert that were speculated to be reserved through special computer programs.

"We will make an announcement since there were illegal movements spotted in the process of ticket reservations," JYP said through DAY6's Facebook page, listing ticket numbers illegally reserved. The company said the tickets would not be available ever again to prevent re-sales and further illegal activities.

JYP also warned fans: "Please be aware not to purchase canceled tickets through the secondhand markets or other illegal ticket sales platforms. Those with canceled tickets will be denied entry to DAY6's concert."

Fans showed their positive reaction. A user called "namg" from South Korea's largest web portal, Naver, said: "You guys are doing a good job!" another user, "hhl5", praised JYP: "I wish other entertainment companies do the same. Illegal ticket farmers are like devils."

Illegal ticket reservations, also known as illegal ticket farming, has been a serious issue since online ticket reservations have become the norm ten years ago. Ticket farmers use special computer programs to sweep the tickets soon after the start of sales. Hundreds of tickets are sold out in minutes for illegal sales through secondhand markets and online communities.
