Chupacabra sighting was reported in Riverside, California located near Los Angeles. Some of the city residents reported SCNG, Southern California News Group, that they spotted a hairless creature preying on their small pets.
A Riverside resident, Cary Shuker, told the local news, "It was hunting my cat. This wasn't no coyote by any means." She described the creature she saw as an animal that has "ears of a deer, long snout, no hair" and a "tail like a rat".
The description fits the legendary creature Chupacabra. The folklore of its existence has been passed down for generations in Americas especially in South America. Chupacabra is known to attack livestock particularly goats and suck its blood, earning the name "goat-sucker" in Spanish.
The description of Chupacabra's appearance has been varied but there are two main descriptions: a reptile-like greenish gray creature that hops around like a kangaroo and a hairless and bony wild dog-like creature.
However, experts dismissed the allegation. They believe the Riverside residents most likely spotted a coyote suffering mange, a skin disease caused by parasitic mites and cause hair loss.
