BTS, the most popular K-pop band, joined the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) campaign to fight violence against children.

The Korean Committee for UNICEF said in a statement on Wednesday that the seven-member group has launched "Love Myself" initiative, a fundraising program which supports UNICEF's #ENDviolence campaign.

"We cannot totally change the world with only seven people but if we keep remind ourselves with the idea of the Love Myself campaign, I believe we can make positive changes with young people," said Rap Monster, a member of BTS during an agreement ceremony which took place in Seoul.

According to UNICEF, BTS will donate 500 million won, three percent of the profit it makes with the group's new "Love Yourself" album series and sales profit made from selling related items to set up a fund for the UNICEF program.

UNICEF's #ENDviolence is a global initiative launched in 2013 to end all forms of violence against children.
