President Moon Jae-in has prepared gift sets for U.S. President Donald Trump and his wife that included brass alloy spoons, forged in a traditional way and engraved with a slogan "We Go Together" on their back.

The strategically planned slogan has been long used to represent a strong alliance between South Korea and the U.S., Moon's office said, adding the spoons were engraved with the visit's date -- "2017.11.7."

The gift sets to be delivered after a state dinner also included two pairs of brass chopsticks as well as two stone bowls, which are called "dolsot" in Korean and normally used in cooking rice or stew.

Dolsot is a symbolic gift given to those who have accomplished remarkable achievements, according to Moon's office.
