LPGA super rookie Park Sung-hyun has received a congratulatory message from South Korean President Moon Jae-in for sweeping up LPGA Tour's three titles -- the Rookie of the Year, the Player of the Year and the money title.
"I extend my sincere congratulations to you for winning triple LPGA Tour titles," Moon said in his message disclosed by Park through her Instagram. "With constant efforts and enthusiasm, you brought a profound sensation and pride to our people."
Moon praised Park for showing the world the power of Korean sports and expressed hope that she would become "a great player who gives dreams and hopes" to South Koreans. Park, 24, rose briefly to No. 1 in the world rankings and shared the tour's top player honors with fellow South Korean star Ryu So-yeon.
