SEOUL, Feb. 06 (Aju News) -- RM, the leader of South Korea's popular K-pop band BTS, has assured fans that he was doing fine after receiving a nasal surgery.

The 23-year-old uploaded images of his pet dog onto the group's official Twitter on Monday after a nasal septum deviation surgery. "I am fine~ I am having some time off after the surgery while working on my music now and then. No worries."

RM suffered from nasal deviation caused by displaced nasal passages. Symptoms of a deviated septum include reduced airflow through the nose and difficulty in breathing. Such displacement is common but it is a critical illness for singers as it affects their singing skills.

According to Big Hit Entertainment, BTS' agency, RM will rest until he fully recovers from the surgery. Details were not disclosed.
