SEOUL, Feb. 07 (Aju News) -- Netmarble, a top South Korean game maker, revealed a glimpse of "BTS WORLD", a BTS-themed real-time cinematic game which includes photographs and short dramas featuring BTS members

"A game, cinematic drama and K-pop must be collaborated to create a new genre," Netmarble chairman Bang Jun-hyuk said, sharing his idea on the new game at a press conference on Tuesday. He insisted that an integration of different contents is essential.

In the game, gamers can foster and train the K-pop stars and receive exclusive contents such their OST as a reward. Netmarble did not disclose when the game would be released.

After BTS gained explosive attention from global fans last year, several BTS-themed smartphone games were released but the apps were shunned by both gamers and fans because of poor quality.

Netmarble's sales in 2017 hit a record high of 2.4 trillion won (2.2 billion US dollars). The company has released popular mobile games such as Seven Knights, Lineage 2 Revolution and MARVEL Future Fight.
