SEOUL, Feb. 13 (Aju News) -- Actor Lee Joon's management agency, TPC, dismissed news reports which the 30-year-old recently attempted to kill himself during his mandatory military service.
There were new reports Monday that the actor received treatment after his failed suicide attempt at an army base. Some claimed Lee was moved to the Green Camp, a special facility for soldiers who need mental care. TPC said that such reports were found to be false.
Lee, a former member of South Korea's boy band MBLAQ, joined the army in October last year and was selected as an excellent soldier.
South Korea's entertainment society has experienced hard times because of suicide by celebrities. In December last year, Jonghyun, a SHINee member, committed suicide while suffering from depression. Experts insisted cyberbullying had played a role in his tragic death.
