SEOUL -- Top K-pop bands such as EXO and Red Velvet from South Korea's largest entertainment agency, SM Entertainment, will enjoy the luxury of hotel-like comfort in super-premium vans created by Hyundai Motor.

On Wednesday, Hyundai unveiled "Solati Moving Hotel", a premium van which benchmarked top hotel services to provide extreme comfort to SM stars.  The Solati van was created from scratch to apply features wanted by artists who are always on the go.

Hyundai carried out interviews with stars to find out what kind of features they really want and what would be an effective way to create the gadgets. SM artists will get Hyundai's hotel vans in the first half of this year. Hyundai will release a pictorial featuring EXO member Kai, actress Lee Yeon-hee and other artists.

For an example, a seat can could fold out to become a bed or can be swiveled around like an office chair, allowing artists to work on their scripts and song notes. A small space for facial makeups and cosmetics were installed.

Solati was released first in 2015 as a premium van like Mercedes Benz's Sprinter and Ford's Transit Van. However, Hyundai's premium van was shunned by South Korean consumers because of its expensive price standing up to about 60 million won (55,800 US dollars), compared to smaller vans such as Kia Carnival (28 million won) and Grand Starex Van (23 million Won).
