SEOUL -- Joy of South Korea's K-pop girl band Red Velvet will not go to North Korea for concerts because of her tight schedule at home as the main actress at a new TV drama, according to her agency, SM Entertainment.

Initially, Joy was to visit Pyongyang as a member of South Korea's art troupe which will perform in North Korea, but it was difficult to coordinate her schedule with the producer of MBC's new TV series "The Great Seducer", SM Entertainment said.

Helped by a streak of hit songs including "Rookie", the five-member girl group has broadened the base of international fans. South Korea will dispatch a 160-member art troupe for two concerts during its four-day stay in Pyongyang from Saturday. The concerts in Pyongyang come ahead of an inter-Korean summit on April 27 in the truce village of Panmunjom.
