SEOUL -- Doosan Infracore, a leading construction machinery manufacturer in South Korea, has acquired an unspecified stake in PoteNit, a start-up specializing in autonomous mobile industrial robots. The amount of money involved in the investment was not disclosed.
Doosan Infrascore, a Doosan Group unit, said Thursday that with its investment in PoteNit, the development of unmanned automation technology would be accelerated.
The company seeks new business opportunities like a solution business using technology to automate machinery at construction and mining sites. PoteNit offers autonomous mobile robots for logistics and warehouse service companies, smart factories and mobile solutions in semiconductor manufacturing.
