SEOUL -- K-pop girl band TWICE will release "Wake me up", a new single, in Japan next month, its agency said Monday.

JYP Entertainment said in a statement that the nine-member group would release its third Japanese single on May 16 before embarking on an Asia concert tour starting with a three-day concert in Seoul on May 18.

TWICE has been successful at home and abroad. In Japan, two single albums, "One More Time" and "Candy Pop", were certified platinum from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) in February for selling more than 250,000 copies.
