SEOUL -- Popular Singer-actress Suzy made a warm-hearted donation to help unwed single mothers, her agency confirmed Wednesday.
According to aJYP Entertainment official, Suzy delivered a 20 million won (18,476 US dollars) donation to a Seoul-based charity network for unwed mothers during an event held at the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Seoul on Monday.
Suzy, an iconic figure in the global Hallyu (Korean cultural wave) scene, has enthusiastically participated in charities. The 23-year-old has previously made donations to help children in need and patients with rare diseases.
Suzy joined the Honor Society of the Community Chest of Korea, a charity organization, as a member in 2015. Anyone who donates a total of more than 100 million won is granted a membership in the organization.
