SEOUL -- K-pop band BTS was honored with the "Choice International Artist" award at an event hosted by American TV channel Fox, according to the group's agency.
Big Hit Entertainment said in a statement Monday that BTS was voted by American teenagers as the best international artist and received the award for two consecutive years at the annual event held in California on Sunday.
The event chooses the best-performing artists and sports players based on votes from teens aged between 13 and 19. ARMY, the group's international fan club, received the "Choice Fandom" award for active fan club activities worldwide.
Jackson, a member of the seven-member K-pop band GOT7, was chosen by American teens as the most promising artist and was decorated with the "Choice Next Big Thing" award.
