SEOUL -- Suga, a BTS member, pays little attention to malicious online comments left by cyber bullies because he does not read them.
When a fan asked at a live broadcast on Naver's V app on Tuesday if Suga reads malicious comments, the 25-year-old replied: "Honestly, I do not worry about malicious comments. I am sorry. I don't really read them."
Cyber bullies can do whatever they want, but his agency will take strong legal actions, he said. "I just don't read them. Legal actions will be taken and there will be no mercy." In June, Big Hit Entertainment warned of no mercy, saying it has consistently monitored malicious comments targeting BTS members for stern legal actions.
Coordinated cyberbullying has long been a problem in South Korea's entertainment scene. In December last year, Jonghyun, a SHINee member, committed suicide and experts agreed cyberbullying played a role in his suicide.
