SEOUL -- South Korea's top telecom company, KT, signed an agreement with a Malaysian investment company to promote the construction of a virtual reality theme park in a Legoland center in Iskandar Malaysia.

KT said Friday the deal was signed with Iskandar Innovations Sdn Bhd (IISB), a subsidiary of Iskandar Investment Berhad. The VR center will be located in the main southern development corridor in Johor, Malaysia. It would be KT's first VR theme park project abroad. VR theme parks host a range of immersive activities for visitors.

The South Korean company said it would seek joint projects with IISB in various business fields such as a fifth-generation (5G) network, solutions, energy and security. KT has been involved in the establishment of 5G mobile service networks in South Korea.
