SEOUL -- LG Electronics will release "V40 ThinQ", a new premium smartphone with powerful camera features, on October 24 in South Korea. The smartphone will carry a price tag of 1,049,400 won ($926)
LG said in a statement on Monday that it would start receiving pre-orders for V40 for six days from October 17. Customers will be given free cases and gifts such as a free coupon which can be used to repair the phone's display and rear housing.
V40 with a large-sized 3,300mAh battery and a 6.4-inch OLED display has a triple-lens rear camera and a dual-lens front camera. The triple-lens camera provides a variety of shooting angles. V40 can process three different images filmed by each lens and converge them into a single moving image. Like its predecessors, the phone has a specially tuned digital-to-analog converter (DAC), which provides rich sounds through headphones or external speakers.
