SEOUL -- An upgraded mixed reality-based virtual fitting solution using a 3D avatar made its debut, allowing consumers to reduce the effort of putting on clothes. Apparel brands and stores can make 3D clothing in virtual clothing in a short time with exclusive software.

The new system called "FXMirror True Fit" was developed by FXGear, a South Korean augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technology company that produces FXMirror, a virtual fitting solution that can help consumers try on a variety of outfits virtually.

By the end of this year, the company plans to unveil FXMirror True Fit, which generates a personalized 3D avatar that reflects a user's body information, facial expressions and physical movements based on mixed reality and tracking technology.

The system virtually recreates the shopper's body and skeleton by analyzing heights, feature points, depth map data, and a cloth database. FXMirror True Fit can see realistic images with a 3D avatar and users can try a virtual hairstyle on the avatar or purchase easily by scanning the QR code with a mobile app.
