SEOUL -- BLACKPINK will perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, a popular American music festival, for the first time as a K-pop idol band. The festival is known for showcasing popular and emerging artists in indie rock, hip-hop and electronic dance music.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival unveiled a list of artists for its 19-day concert schedule, and BLACKPINK was invited to perform twice on April 12 and April 14.

South Korean rock band Hyukoh will perform on April 14 and April 21 and Jambinai, an avant-rock band, will perform on April 13 and April 20. Other than K-pop bands, pop-stars such as Ariana Grande, Zed and Khalid will participate in the annual festival at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.
