SEOUL -- K-pop boy band BTS will release a new album in April before the seven-member group embarks on a tour of concerts at stadiums in six countries including the United States, Britain and France.
BTS said in posts updated on Twitter and the group's official online fan community that "BTS MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA" would be released on April 12. The boys said that pre-orders for their new album would begin on Wednesday.
ARMY, the group's international fan club, has gone wild about the new album. BTS' tweet was shared more than 110,000 times and received some 277,000 likes in less than nine hours. "KINGS ARE COMING BACK!!" wrote safi, a Twitter user.
The group's extended tour will kick off in Los Angeles on May 4. The boys will perform at iconic stadiums, including London's Wembley Stadium.
