SEOUL -- Samsung Electronics will release its first foldable smartphone, Galaxy Fold, in the United States in April. It started receiving pre-orders from American and European consumers on Tuesday.
The foldable phone is scheduled for release in Europe in May. Samsung said it would release the 4G version of its foldable smartphone that carried a price tag of 2,000 Euros in Europe and $1,980 in the U.S. market.
Samsung will release the 5G version of Galaxy Fold in South Korea in May, with its price set between 2.3 million won ($2,031) and 2.4 million won. Samsung will provide a pair of cordless earphones, the Kevlar protection case and a one-year customer protection plan for foldable phone buyers.
