Singer-songwriter Crush to release new bossa nova-based song next week

SEOUL -- Singer-songwriter Crush will release his first new single after he nested in P NATION, an entertainment agency headed by Gangnam Style star Psy, in July this year.

The entertainment agency said in a statement on Friday that the 27-year-old R&B singer will release "NAPPA", a song based on bossa nova rhythm, on August 28. Bossa nova, which means a new trend or a new wave, is a style of Brazilian music developed and popularized in the 1950s and 1960s.

Crush is popular among female fans in their 20s for his melodic rap flow. The singer stepped into the spotlight before his official debut in 2012 by collaborating with famous artists such as Zion.T, Dynamic Duo and Simon Dominic as a featuring artist.
