Boy band WINNER drops highlight medley for new album 'Cross'

SEOUL -- Boy band WINNER has dropped a highlight medley for "Cross", the four-member band's mini-album scheduled for release on Wednesday.

The medley clip was released through YouTube. In the preview, the hip-hop band revealed glimpses of six songs including "SOSO", the title song of Cross. Later this week, the band will also hold a two-day concert on October 27 and 27.

YG Entertainment said earlier that WINNER's upcoming concert would be accompanied by a live band that will play music. Normally disc jockeys (DJs) and sound engineers are in charge of playing recorded music during hip-hop concerts.

WINNER debuted in 2014 after members were selected through a cable TV hip-hop audition reality show "WIN : Who is Next?" which was aired in 2013. The band quickly gained popularity thanks to a hip-hop boom sparked by cable TV hip-hop audition shows.
