SEOUL -- Jungkook, a member of K-pop band BTS, was investigated by police for violating traffic laws, police said. He was implicated in a traffic accident while driving in Seoul, but his agency said there were no serious injuries.

Police said the 22-year-old was questioned for a car-to-car accident in Seoul on November 2. Investigators gave no details saying only that the singer was involved in drunk-driving.

Big Hit Entertainment said in a statement on Monday that Jungkook was involved in a car accident due to his misjudgment but he and others were not severely injured. Jungkook admitted that he violated the traffic law, the agency said, apologizing for causing inconvenience.

"Jungkook has amicably settled an agreement with the victim," the agency said.

Jungkook was staying in his home country after BTS wrapped up this year's world stadium concert tour with a three-day concert in Seoul in October. The band is scheduled to perform at "2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards", an annual music awards event, scheduled to be held at Japan's Nagoya Dome on December 4.
